Welcome to the web presence of McCormick High School.  We are the proud home of the McCormick Chiefs.  MHS has a long-held tradition of academic and athletic excellence supported by a dedicated, hard working faculty and staff.  We enjoy phenomenal community support and a huge network of successful alumni who contribute to various professions all over South Carolina and the world.
 
The School Board, Superintendent, Administration, Faculty and Staff of McCormick County School District is dedicated to continuous improvement of student learning and to supporting initiatives that "inspire, challenge and prepare our students for tomorrow's global opportunities"!
 
At McCormick...I Believe...You Believe...We Believe...in the potential of our students and we strive to help every student reach his/her fullest potential.  With supportive guidance services, career and work-based learning opportunities, Middle College partnerships and a rigorous academic curriculum, McCormick High School is poised to join the ranks of South Carolina's premier secondary schools.

Principal's Message

I am very excited to begin my ninth year at McCormick High School and my seventh year as principal. I am extremely proud to be the principal of this excellent institution. It is my passion to see the students at McCormick High School obtain World Class Knowledge, World Class Skills as well as Positive Life and Career Characteristics. We have some of the best behaved students I have ever met. We have excellent support from parents, guardians, community and all stakeholders. We also have the hardest working school staff including, administration, teachers, teacher support, cafeteria and custodial workers. 
 
If I could ask one thing from the community, it would be that you let people know that we are an excellent school and we are working to become even better.

The annual Senior Division of the S.C. Bar Association's Law Day Essay Contest provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about our legal system, justice, get creative, and win money simply by writing an essay of 1,000 words or less.

Our goal at McCormick High School is to use all available resources to ensure that every student is successful. We would like to offer your child the opportunity to participate in “Fine-Tune Friday” which has been developed in order to offer additional assistance to seniors.
